Bianca Rae Foundation

The Bianca Rae Foundation serves as a resource of funding, knowledge, and empowerment for the socially disadvantaged, the underserved and all animals. The LGBT Center Palm Springs

The LGBT Center Palm Springsmission is to enrich the lives of the LGBT community.  A thriving, community-based organization, The Center provides a safe and supportive environment for members to enjoy health, wellness, educational and social programs, where people of all ages and backgrounds are welcome.  The Center advances their mission through senior programming, a clinical counseling and internship program, a weekly food bank, extensive social and recreational offerings, a free community cyber center, a growing volunteer program and periodic special events in the community. Located in downtown Palm Springs, it is the only LGBT non-profit community center in Eastern Riverside County with approximately 1,000 members and logs over 25,000 annual client visits. Charity Godmother

Charity Godmother, founded by Caroldean Ross, is a community group of supporters and survivors of Breast Cancer raising funds for not only breast cancer but for all cancers. Charity Godmother was the result of seven years of hosting and fundraising to bring help and awareness of breast cancer to the local valley. It started with the Pink Party and then into the Sleep In For the Cure with Susan G. Komen. Charity Godmother is now local residents wanting to help the community and be able to reach out to all those that need the help and funds, not just one organization. Girlfriend Factor

Girlfriend Factor’s mission is to ensure that higher education and occupational training are financially accessible to adult women who choose to improve their economic position in life and who strive for self-sufficiency. Founded by Joan Busick and Michele Moore in 2005, the organization offers renewable education grants and emotional support to motivated women to reach their potential and achieve their goals through higher education and occupational training. Girlfriend Factor believes that education is the key to economic advancement and self-sufficiency among women and that they can accomplish anything they set their minds to when they have the support and encouragement of their girlfriends. La Quinta High School Culinary Arts Institute

La Quinta High School Culinary Arts Institute assists students in preparation for a career in the Hospitality Industry.  The curriculum covers all aspect of the industry: from safety and sanitation, baking and pastry to nutrition and International Cuisine. Loving All Animals

Loving All Animals’ mission is “to bring together local, regional and national animal welfare organizations to collaborate for the greater benefit of animals” including finding Forever Homes for homeless pets, facilitating low cost spay/neuter clinics and helping Coachella Valley become no kill community. Established in 2008, Loving All Animals has rescued and re-homed more than 400 dogs, cats and birds and facilitated over 1,500 adoptions through our community partnerships and hosting the annual Loving All Animals’ Super Pet Adoption Festival.  For more information, visit: lovingallanimals.org

Roy’s Desert Resource Center

Roy’s Desert Resource Center’s mission is to get people back on their feet, become self-sufficient, and return to a home of their own. Named in honor of the late Riverside County Supervisor, Roy Wilson, the Center is the very first comprehensive resource center for the transitionally homeless families, individuals and veterans in Coachella Valley. Staff members assist clients in regaining their stability in the community, as well as securing safe and affordable housing.  Located in North Palm Springs, the Center is operated by Jewish Family Services of San Diego and funded by the Coachella Valley Association of Governments’ (CVAG) Homelessness Committee and the Friends of Roy’s Foundation. Soldiers Organized Services (SOS)

SOS provides active-duty servicemen and women with free transportation, any day or night, between the Palm Springs and Ontario International Airports and the USMC Base in Twentynine Palms, CA. These dedicated volunteers provide free transport for active-duty military personnel, their families and sweethearts who are visiting their returning or deploying servicemen.  These volunteers also provide a sense of family and support to those who call on them and offer a friendly ear to listen to our servicemen and women. Volunteers offer hope, encouragement, gratitude, and respect to military personnel prior to an uncertain deployment. Since May of 2007, SOS has transported thousands of troops. Palm Springs Boys & Girls Club

Boys & Girls Club of Palm Springs is a member chapter of Boys & Girls Clubs of America, serving hundreds of youth in and around the Palm Springs area. The organization’s after school and summer programs, activities, guidance and mentorship play a critical part in providing the Palm Springs’ young people – particularly those in need – with the tools to build successful, satisfying and significant lives.
